31st August 2025 Newsletter
Hi guys. This is the eighth newsletter from the Institute of Rejuvenation Science (ICR). In these newsletters, we will tell you what we've done, since the last newsletter, to accelerate the development of rejuvenation science.
Interview with Eleanor Sheekey from The Sheekey Science Show
On August 22, 2025, a video was published of an interview we gave to the YouTube channel The Sheekey Science Show, hosted by researcher Eleanor Sheekey. In this interview, we talked about our motivations for creating the Rejuvenation Science Institute (ICR), our 2024 experiment, the experiment we will conduct in 2026, and our future plans. This interview is part of our efforts to raise awareness about the institute and attract more donors. To watch the interview, click here.
Poster presentation at ARDD 2025
On August 26, 2025, the scientific research conducted by the ICR was presented at the Aging Research Drug Discovery Meeting (ARDD) in Copenhagen, Denmark, through a poster exhibition. The poster described the experiment conducted by ICR in 2024, with the participation of Unicamp, in which we injected Pig Plasma Extracellular Particles (PPEPs) from young animals into young rats to assess acute immunogenicity and toxicity. We also described in the poster similar experiments that support our hypothesis of studying extracellular particles as age markers, the experiment we will conduct in June 2026 — when we will inject PPEPs from young animals into old rats to rejuvenate them, as well as injecting them into young rats to see if it is possible to keep them young — and plans for future experiments. This experiment is being conducted in partnership with DoNotAge.org, Heales, and all the other donors. In fact, it was Heales who presented the poster at this conference in Copenhagen. Raised funds reach 71.61% of the total
By the end of August 2025, the ICR has already raised 71.61% of the total needed to carry out the experiment to rejuvenate rats with PPEPs. This brings the total raised to US$ 53,705, with the remaining 28.39% still to be raised to reach the total of US$ 75,000. The ICR is contacting as many players in the field of rejuvenation science as possible to inform them about the experiment and the possibility of donations. In addition, we are looking for specialized media that may be interested in publicizing our initiative. So, if you know of a YouTube channel, podcast, newspaper or other media outlet that might be interested in publicizing this experiment, feel free to talk to us about it or directly to the media outlet.
New user area for managing donations in Stripe
Stripe, one of the companies we use to receive donations by card, Google Pay, and Apple Pay, has created a new user area tool, which we implemented on our website in August 2025. In the user area, ICR donors can check their donation history, change cards, change the amount of recurring donations, or cancel them. Previously, these actions were performed by the ICR at the request of donors, but now they can manage this themselves. The link to access the user area is available on the Donation page of the ICR website. To access this page, click here.
This is a collective effort
This experiment is a collective effort to reproduce Harold Katcher's seminal study, in which the ICR relies on the contribution of those interested in the realization of the experiment. Thus, if you know someone who might be interested in the content of this newsletter, you can forward it to them. Also, if you are not yet a financial contributor of the ICR, we invite you to become one by clicking on this link.
So that's it. We're carrying on, and we won't rest until we've implemented rejuvenation in human beings. See you next time!
