Hi guys. This is the nineteenth newsletter from the Rejuvenation Science Institute (ICR). In these newsletters, we will tell you what we've done, since the last newsletter, to accelerate the development of rejuvenation science.
Meet ICR's allies in the Mouse Rejuvenation Experiment
The Rejuvenation Science Institute (ICR) has forged a series of alliances along the way to replicate Harold Katcher’s seminal experiment and share all the methods, materials and results. Below, we’ll tell you a little more about our allies in the Mouse Rejuvenation Experiment, who are ready to change the world alongside us. As you’ll see below, the infrastructure for this experiment, which will take place over the coming months, is already in place.
Breno Jancowski (Veterinarian - Selva Urbana)
The veterinarian Breno Jancowski, founder of the Selva Urbana veterinary clinic in the city of Campinas (Brazil), is advising us on the collection of pig blood for the experiment. He accompanies us to the farm where the collection takes place and ensures that all procedures are carried out properly. Breno is a highly respected professional in Campinas and is deeply committed to animal welfare and scientific progress. Click here to check the website of his clinic, Selva Urbana.
Sílvio Moraes (livestock consultant)
Sílvio Moraes has been a livestock farmer for over 25 years in Nova Odessa, a city located in the region of Campinas (Brazil), and is advising us on the farms that slaughter pigs so that we can carry out blood collection. He understands the importance of our experiment and is providing invaluable assistance during a critical phase of the experiment.
Daniel Navarro (scientific advisor)
Dr. Daniel Navarro is a scientist dedicated to regenerative medicine who is advising us on the logistics of the Mouse Rejuvenation Experiment.
Vivens (rodent tests)
Vivens is a company that will advise us on mouse testing, including obtaining approval from an ethics committee for the use of animals and the actual testing to determine whether the mice have been rejuvenated. Click here to check the company's website.
Nicolás and Nina (with Aurora and David)
We (Nicolás and Nina) will not leave this world without ensuring that our children have access to some kind of technology that will allow them to avoid dying of old age. Furthermore, we urgently need to save our parents, as they are between 70 and 80 years old. Thus, our mission is to coordinate all the necessary processes so that the replication of Harold Katcher’s groundbreaking experiment marks the true dawn of rejuvenation for humanity.
Harold Katcher (the genius?)
We can't forget the person who came up with this experiment, Dr. Harold Katcher. After all, we're just checking to see if this guy made the greatest discovery in human history.
This is a collective effort
This experiment is a collective effort to reproduce Harold Katcher's seminal study, in which the ICR relies on the contribution of those interested in the realization of the experiment.
